The theme of the 2009 YRSA Conference draws its inspiration from Kurt Hahn’s belief that: “There is more in you than you think,” and will challenge the delegates to examine the Round Square IDEALS and the impact they can have on affecting change.

We believe that all students have the potential to change the world for the better. The YRSA conference provides students with opportunities to learn about leadership and to experience how they can shape events rather than be shaped by them. Students will be exposed to different techniques and skills that they can implement upon their return to their own schools in finding The Power Within and making a change.

Fern Hill and Appleby are proud to host this unique urban conference that embraces both the city and the natural outdoors and will challenge students from throughout the Americas to funnel their energy to bring about new ideas and to ignite their passion and power within.
